Born and raised in Chicago, Paula began her career as an on-air announcer/reporter for classical radio station, WEFM. An alumnus of NBC-TV’s Daytime Writers Program, she served as head of the Literary Department for the Savage Agency, Hollywood; developed programming for Blair Entertainment, New York and wrote for such diverse publications as: the Martha’s Vineyard Times; Cape Cod Life; Berkshire Eagle; Examiner.com and Scripps-Howard News Service. She is signatory to the Writers Guild of America; a member of the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists; Screen Actors Guild and Actor’s Equity. Her acting credits are for a number of television series including: "Starman;" “Hardcastle and McCormick;” “Remington Steele,” and “General Hospital,” as well as national commercials for clients such as Sears and McDonald’s. Currently Paula administers two blogs – Paula Slade: In My Humble Opinion and Paula Slade: National Children’s Entertainment. She resides in New England with husband, Barry; daughter, Samantha, and their three lovable and goofy pets.
